A Windy Day at Mabie House

I had photographed Julie's sisters wedding last year so had already met Julie & Richard and some of their family prior to the big day.

The day was really beautiful, bright and sunny, which you would think would be the ideal conditions for an outdoor wedding, but it was the wind which caused the trouble on this otherwise glorious day.  It was so fierce that it was throwing up all the dirt from the ground, making it a challenging day for the bride, groom and their guests.  It did not take anything away from the day, however, which was a beautiful affair.

The ceremony was held on a stretch of grass beside the Mabie House Hotel.  One funny moment was when Julie was approaching her husand to be, and the wind yanked her veil from her head and placed it on that of the Ministers! Unfortunately I wasn't in the right spot to capture the moment.

After the first dance, I sloped off home to leave the happy couple and their guests to celebrate into the night.
