| Just Hitched at Knockbrex |
It seemed fitting that my first wedding of 2011 was at the same venue as my last for the previous year, Knockbrex. As with the previous wedding, the weather was looking good which is always a bonus. Andrea & Mark's ceremony began on a high, with the rings being delivered by an impressive eagle owl, much to the guests delight. This was followed by a very emotional and touching ceremony, with lots of tears and laughter throughout. Mark then proceeded to lead his newly wed wife outside and show her what he was wearing under his kilt...thankfully for everyone else, a pair of 'Just Hitched' pants!
The best thing about Knockbrex is its close proximity to the coast, so as the sun was setting we drove the couple down to the beach to take some quiet couple shots, and take advantage of the amazing light. The guests were well looked after at this wedding, treated to a spectacular bird of prey display presented by a team from Moniave, as well as an energetic celidh in the evening to keep everyone on their toes, with local band 'Two Left Feet' leading the dances. Even Lynne was pulled up for a few rounds in between her photographic duties. A wonderful day which we felt privileged to have been a part of. |
