It’s not very often that I get to photograph a wedding in Kirkcudbright, so this was a real treat.  Anna and Stephen had a gorgeous sunny day in August for their wedding (admittedly it did rain a little later on but this is Scotland after all!). I arrived at Anna’s parents home to photograph bridal prep in the morning, then everyone moved onto the ceremony which was held at the Kirkcudbright parish church, where Anna arrived in style in a beautifully renovated old car. Following the ceremony, everyone returned back to the family home where there was a fantastic marquee and beautiful gardens for the guests to enjoy.  From my point of view, I was spoiled for choice when it came to the location, with so many different spots to take the portraits.  I think Anna and Stephen were a little taken aback when I suggested they do one portrait in the dog kennels, but they were game for anything, including riding a golf buggy to go up the hill as the sun started to set.

Many thanks to Anna & Stephen for choosing me to capture their special day, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
